1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using ROC — Roatán Online Concierge ("ROC", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use ROC. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses the service at roc-concierge.com.

2. What ROC is

ROC is an AI-powered travel concierge for visitors to Roatán, Honduras. It provides recommendations and information about local service providers including diving operators, tour companies, restaurants, and transportation. ROC is currently in beta and provided free of charge during this period.

3. AI-generated content

ROC uses artificial intelligence to generate responses. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. ROC's responses are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice. Always verify critical information — such as business hours, prices, and availability — directly with the provider before booking.

4. User accounts

To access full provider contact details, you must create an account with a valid email address and your Roatán arrival and departure dates. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

5. Pricing & payments

During the beta period, ROC is free to use. After the beta period ends, full access will require a one-time payment of $0.99 USD per stay. This grants access for the duration of the stay dates provided at signup. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. All sales are final unless otherwise required by applicable law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use ROC for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to scrape, copy, or systematically extract provider data from ROC
• Abuse, harass, or attempt to manipulate the AI
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, security measures, or subscription checks
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use ROC to generate spam or misleading content

7. Provider information

ROC provides contact information for local service providers in good faith. We do not endorse, guarantee, or take responsibility for the quality, safety, or reliability of any third-party provider listed in ROC. Any bookings or transactions you make with providers are solely between you and that provider. ROC is not a party to those arrangements.

8. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and branding on ROC — including the ROC name, logo, and concierge platform — is owned by or licensed to ROC. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

ROC is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information provided is accurate or complete. Use of ROC is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ROC and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or financial loss resulting from reliance on provider recommendations.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Honduras. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of ROC shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Honduras.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of ROC after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
